It amazes me the number of varied responses the phrase "out in the woods" elicits. Myself and the other fellas in the band have been using it to describe a recent recording trip we took to a house about 30 minutes outside of Sylacauga, AL. I think my mom thought we'd be without shelter and somehow trying to commune musically with the trees. Others thought of nightmare scenarios involving escaped serial killers. (My own over active imagination struggled to keep these thoughts at bay) Some envied the seclusion. (no cell reception, no T.V., no internet) Some were skeptical of the isolation.
